MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew The Elektrolytes are a young, energetic, hip-hop dance crew formed by a group of local dancers in the small town of Gilbert, Arizona. The crew provides a positive learning environment for each individual regardless of race, culture, gender, sexuality, religion or physicality. This is evident in the crew’s diverse ethnic makeup. The Elektrolytes started with one amazing pep assembly show in 2009 that blew the audience away. At that moment they discovered how empowering their talents were and began to study and develop their skills in various styles of dance which created their unique style.

From that point on, the eight friends, through hard work and dedication, established themselves as Arizona’s top crew. They then set forth on achieving national recognition. Their motto, ‘underdogs can become top dogs’ exemplifies the crew’s never give up attitude, that is evident in their aggressive style that thrilled millions, resulting in The Elektrolytes being named America’s Best Dance Crew on MTV.
